Sam Bà Tỵ is actually a restaurant serving dishes derived from fresh horseshoe crab. This restaurant has aquired its reputation for horseshoe crab in Halong for such a long time. Located in alley 6, Cao Thang which is quite hard to find, however the irresistible delicious taste of dishes keep seducing many frequenters to come back over and over again.

4. Bubble (pearl) yogurt
This is another specialty you can only find in Halong city. Although yogurt has already become ubiquitous, serving yogurt with white pearl (small boiled tapioca pieces), coconut milk and curettage coconut is one-in-a-kind. Crystal pearl is put in small cup, added aromatic coconut milk, accompanied with a large glass jar of yogurt. The sweetness, aromatic flavor of coconut milk combined with soft pearl and yogurt will make the customers hardly resist the temptation.

5. Bánh bột lọc
Bánh bột lọc is a small, clear-looking, chewy tapioca dumpling in Vietnamese cuisine that can be eaten as appetizers or small snacks. They are usually filled with shrimp and pork belly, often being topped with fried shallots and served with sweet chili fish sauce. The owner and also the cooker Ms Van is the native people of Hue – where this specialty was originated from, so delegates do not need to worry about the quality of the dish. 6. Wonton noodles/wheat wontons
Wontons is a Chinese special food. The restaurant Ngoc Duong originally belonged to a Chinese family and is believed to be the most ancient wonton restaurant in Halong. At present, there are two branches, one is located in 15 Gieng Don, the other one is located in 331 Le Thanh Tong, Hong Gai ward, Halong. Visitors are appeal to this restaurant due to its unique recipe. The broth of a wonton owl has its own characteristics thanks to carefully processing from the bones of pigs, chickens and shrimp without any monosodium glutamate.
